The 2020 Interim Tax Bills were processed and mailed.

The first Installment is due on March 26th. 

The second Installment is due on May 28th. 


The 2020 Final Tax Bills were processed,and mailed.

The first Installment is due on August 27th. 

The second Installment is due on October 29th.



Go paperless! You can now receive your Property Tax Bill electronically, and eliminate paper bills. There is no requirement to sign up for this service. Contact the Municipal Office for information, or download the Authorization Form.

Payment options

Pre-Authorized Payment Plan

If you want to save time, spread out your payments and avoid late payment charges, then the pre-authorized payment plan is right for you.  For your convenience, we offer a variety of different payment options. Choose the one that is most convenient for you.

Complete the Pre-Authorized Tax Form and email it to, or drop it off or mail it to the Municipality of Whitestone.

Your withdrawal dates will depend on the payment plan you choose. You will see your specific dates on your property tax bill.

Plan cancellation or changes

Email, drop off or mail a letter to the Municipality of Whitestone at least 30 days before your next payment is due to cancel or to change your banking information.

For in-person banking or Online Tax payments can be made at any participating banks and financial institutions

Please use your 19-digit tax “roll number” located on your tax bill as your account number. Make payment on or before the due date.

Property Tax Payments may also be paid at the Municipal Office during regular office hours by using cash, cheque or debit.

Also, for your convenience, a Lock-Box is located directly outside the Municipal Office doors, attached to our building, for anyone wanting to drop off a payment after-hours. 

Please Note:

We only accept credit card tax payments online through Plastiq, an online third-party payment service provider. A service fee is charged by Plastiq calculated as a set percentage of each transaction to cover payment handling and processing charges.

Create a Plastiq account online and make your tax payment at least six business days before the due date using your credit card. Please review Plastiq's terms and conditions prior to using the service.

It is the Ratepayers’ responsibility to notify the Municipal Office of a change of address.  Failure to do so, DOES NOT relieve the Ratepayer from any penalties or interest.  Tax Bills are mailed twice a year, every year.  The Interim Tax Bills are mailed in February, with due dates of March and May.  The Final Tax Bills are mailed in July, with due dates of August and October.  Therefore, if you DO NOT receive a Tax Bill from us, it is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to contact the Municipal Office as soon as possible.
